General Painting Tips

There is no one way to paint and no one rule that fits all painters and artists. There are in fact as many ways to paint as there are artists and it would be a boring proposition were we to all paint the same way and to the same rules. But there are some helpful guides and ways to producing a better artwork. I have collected here some of those guides and ideas which I find helpful in producing a quality artwork. They are by no means the last word on how to paint and ultimately you must find the system that works for you. Remember that painting is a life long learning process and there is no substitute for practical experience.
