CALL OF THE DOTTEREL

Just south of Auckland is Duders Reserve. Here there is an expansive estuary environment providing suitable habitat for varities of shore and wading birds. It is also rather picturesque when the tide is incoming and fills the many inlets between the banks formed by millions of sea shells. The Dotterel's shrill call sounds as a warning should you approach too close. While this painting is unframed it may be hung as is since a dark borader has been painted around the edges of the board.
