The Vegas Girl on the advertising board was an iconic feature of K'Rd in the 80's through to the 90's. One of the many strip joints in that part of town which hold fond memories of my miss spent youth. It is gone now, as the area slowly changes to cafes and boutique shops, so I am glad I managed to get this portrait done before it disappeared. Nastassja Kinski has always been my perfect dream girl, we all have them, and even as I age and there are new and younger beauties, they have never taken her place. So this portrait is perhaps a whimisical look back at life, we all have dreams, many end up in the rubbish, I hold on to mine.
