Tee tree or Manuka and Kanuka is a common sight on the slopes of New Zealand farmland and forests. It is an early successional forest species and it's small leaves provide a thick canopy. When viewed from a distance it has an almost soft appearance. Honey made from the flowers of Manuka have special dietary properties.
