TEA TREE LINE
Tea tree or Manuka and Kanuka is a common sight on the slopes of
New Zealand farmland and forests.
It is an early successional forest species and it's small leaves provide a thick canopy. When viewed from a distance it has an almost soft appearance and gives the landscape a distinct appearance.
It is an increadibly useful tree providing health benefits from honey made from the flowers, oil extracts and even it's saw dust provides a wonderful flavour in smoking meats.
